A picture is worth a thousand words. Every time somebody complains about “political correctness” whenever a traditionally white character is recast as a minority, Just think about this picture. Were these castings done because of political correctness? Hollywood’s been whitewashing characters for decades, and continues to do it. Why is it only a problem when its done the other way around. William Fichtner as Oroku Saki The Shredder in TMNT. Rooney Mara  as Princess Tiger Lily in Peter Pan. Joel Edgerton, will be playing the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh in the new movie Exodus. This is not something new.

Cross-country. Cross-culture. America supports its team.

It’s red, white and blue… and it’s coming to the World Cup. To launch the new away kit, USMNT captain Clint Dempsey and the USWNT’s Sydney Leroux were joined by Diplo, HAIM, Spike Lee, NFL players Andrew Luck and Ndamukong Suh, skateboarders Eric Koston and Sean Malto, Allyson Felix, and former U.S. National Team member Alexi Lalas. America? America.
